Customs Clearing Agent in Lagos
Customs clearing in Lagos that gets your cargo released quickly and correctly — duties, permits, PAAR and documentation managed end to end.
Clearing cargo in Nigeria is where most imports lose time and money: a missing permit, a wrong HS code or a late PAAR, and containers sit at the terminal while demurrage and storage charges grow every day. Flaming Integrated Logistiks clears sea and air cargo in Lagos for importers who want the paperwork done correctly the first time.
We take your shipment from the Form M stage through duty assessment, examination and release, then truck it from the port or airport to your warehouse. One team handles the whole clearance, so you always know who to call and what is happening with your goods.
What's included
Clearing at Apapa, Tin Can, Lekki and MMIA
Most containers for Lagos land at Apapa (Lagos Port Complex), Tin Can Island Port (including the PTML terminal for vehicles) or the newer Lekki Deep Sea Port. Air cargo clears at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) cargo terminals. Each has its own terminal operators, examination routines and gate procedures, and we plan the clearance around the port your cargo is actually going to.
Nigeria Customs now processes PAAR and declarations on B'Odogwu, the Service's own clearance platform that replaced NICIS II and was rolled out from PTML to Apapa and Tin Can. We keep up with these changes so your documents are lodged in the right system, in the right order, before the vessel or flight arrives.

Once released we settle terminal and shipping line charges, gate out, and truck the cargo to you.

Frequently asked questions
How long does customs clearance take in Lagos?+
With complete documents and an issued PAAR, many containers can be cleared within a few working days of discharge. Delays usually come from missing permits, valuation queries or physical examination, which is why we check documents before your cargo ships.
What documents do I need to clear goods in Nigeria?+
Typically a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, Form M, PAAR, and any product permits such as SONCAP for regulated goods or NAFDAC for food, drugs and cosmetics. We confirm the exact list for your goods before they ship.
How is import duty calculated in Nigeria?+
Duty is charged on the CIF value of the goods at the rate set for their HS code under the ECOWAS Common External Tariff, plus applicable levies, with 7.5% VAT on top. We give you an assessment before payment so there are no surprises.
Can you clear cargo that has already arrived?+
Yes. If your container is already at the port, contact us with the bill of lading number. We will check its status, any charges building up, and what is needed to release it quickly.
